TEEN DISCIPLESHIP – SUMMER GATHERINGS - Dates for 2019 are: July 18th, July 25th, August 1st
During the summer the diocese of Duluth holds gatherings for high school students (those who have completed 9th-12th grade years the previous school year) at University of Minnesota Duluth’s campus hosted by Fr. Mike Schmitz -We begin each evening with Mass at the Newman House at 5:00pm followed by a BBQ and a talk on the theme of the night. Next, we move on to a fierce game of speedball (a great game combining the best of soccer and football) at Park Point. We close out the evening at Dairy Queen in Canal Park. AKA (THERE IS FREE FOOD)
No official registration is needed but each student will need a permission form to bring with and to notify the youth minister (daly.myers@duluthcatholic or 952-393-6784) so that a head count can be passed along to the diocese in order to prepare enough food.
Transportation provided by the youth minister and possibly other adult volunteers (if needed).

As part of the preparation for confirmation students are required to attend a retreat to enhance their spiritual lives as they get ready to receive the holy spirit at their confirmation. The diocese of Duluth offers retreats for parishes throughout the diocese and the times and locations are as follows:
Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 20*: Trout Lake Camp, Pine River Registration deadline TBD Cost: TBD before registration deadline. $10 more after deadline. Check-in: Friday 5:45-6:20 p.m.; Retreat concludes at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29: Big Sandy Camp, McGregor Registration deadline TBD Cost: TBD before registration deadline. $10 more after deadline. Check-in: Friday 5:45-6:20 p.m.; Retreat concludes at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday.
If you register your child for one of these retreats online you must tell the Youth Minister Daly Myers (daly.myers@duluthcatholic or (952-393-6784) as youth ministers are expected to attend the retreats alongside the confirmation students and will need to report what students from their parish are attending. More information on registration and pricing will follow.
The Theology of the Body Immersion for Teens (TOBIT)
This program is a retreat on January 10th to the 12th focused on Saint and Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and how it can relate to a young person’s whole life. This retreat is for students who are in grades 9th-12th.
The Retreat includes: Mass - Talks - Adoration - Praise & Worship - Confession - Games - Sledding - Bonfire - Friends - Small Groups!
Cost: $155. The cost increases to $175 after December 14 (if there are still openings). The $50 non-refundable deposit is due during online registration. The balance must be paid by January 4. There are no refunds after December 14 (please note: the $50 deposit is always non-refundable).
