Eucharistic Ministry to the Homebound
It is through the Mass that we, as Catholics, ordinarily receive Jesus in the Eucharist.
However, there are many who are unable to be present at Mass due to illness, disability or the infirmity of old age, who nonetheless, desire to receive Holy Communion.
The Parish's Eucharistic outreach in the community ensures that those in the hospital, nursing home or assisted living receive Christ in the Eucharist. Those who live in their own homes and are unable to come to Church may also receive Communion on First Fridays.
If you are interested in assisting in this important ministry OR if you know someone in need, please contact Mary Wanhala at the Parish Center: 218-262-5541. (Training is provided for those who feel called to assist.)
